Neighborhood Walk

We experienced all the extremes first hand on our walk through the neighborhood.

We encountered the first of many joyous moments of greeting the beautiful people who live within.
The children are intrigued at the "mzungus" walking by, the adults are friendly, warm and receptive to our smiles, waves and handshakes.

The children are so full of life and love. They swarm to hug you and are so intrigued by their American visitors. They kept touching my hair - they were fascinated, I thought it sweet and simply wanted to do something to make them feel special and loved. They read me a story, (really good English!) Posed for silly pictures, played and were lost in simply being children.
